Microgels consist of weakly cross-linked macromolecules and can be used for the targeted release of active substances, in catalysis or for the immobilization of biomolecules. They have the special property to be adaptive to external influences such as the pH or the temperature and thereby greatly change their volume. In the work outlined here, microgels should be used which react sensitively to glucose. The aim is to produce innovative and adaptive membranes that change their properties in terms of permeability and morphology depending on the sugar concentration. Potential applications of these membranes are in the field of targeted drug release or in enzymatic reaction systems
