Excellence Cluster
Excellence cluster for promoting cutting-edge research. The goal of excellence clusters is the connection of competitive research facilities. Besides improving the educational requirements and career conditions of young academics, the research profile shall be sharpened and the innovation ability shall be strengthened. The international expert panel appointed by the Joint Science Conference of the Federal and State Governments (GWK) has approved three funding proposals for Clusters of Excellence submitted by RWTH, one of which has been jointly developed and submitted with the University of Cologne and the University of Bonn.
