Membrane Course for Water Technologies (MCW) 2017

29.05. – 31.05.2017

Every second year the Department of Chemical Process Engineering at RWTH Aachen University organizes an English-speaking course on membrane processes in the field of water technologies. The next “Membrane Course for Water Technologies (MCW)” will take place from May 29th to May 31st 2017 in Aachen and is hosted by Prof. Matthias Wessling.

The aim of the course is to supply professionals with different backgrounds with both a theoretical and practical knowledge of membrane processes in the field of water technologies. Present established technologies such as micro- and ultrafiltration (MF and UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) will be covered. In addition, emergent technologies such as electrodialysis or forward osmosis will receive attention.

The course material will not require any specific previous knowledge in membrane technologies and is thus advisable to any professional, either from R&D, engineering, production, marketing or sales who would like to obtain a theoretical background on the subject backed by practical experiences.

The “Membrane Course for Water Technologies” is a lunch-to-lunch course. In addition to lectures and case studies, the visit of our laboratory and pilot scale sites and a joint dinner complete the course program.
