Prof. Matthias Wessling receives Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz award 2019

Prof. Matthias Wessling receives Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz award. Some call the award the “German Nobel prize”. In any case, this day was a very special day for Prof. Matthias Wessling.

The established expert on the field of polymer research and membrane technology has received the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz award of the German Research Foundation (DFG) on 13th of March. He is one of the altogether 10 prizewinners from all over Germany and varying research fields.

Prof. Wessling will put the prize money into the search for the origin of life and intelligence as well as to unite the world of biological and synthetic membranes.
